Cappadoccian Adventure - 7 September to 14 September 2025
Directed by Jeremy Jackman
Cappadoccian Adventure - Turkey
This will be run by singers first visit to Turkey and we are very excited to be visiting Cappadocia with its wonderful caves, pillars and rock formations; it really does look like the surface of another planet.
This will be a small choir event of 25 singers. We will be staying in a boutique hotel in Sinasos, an unspoiled traditional Turkish town far from the madding crowd. During our stay, we will sing informally in a number of places concluding with a final concert in a nearby conservatoire. There will be outings to visit landmarks and see local craftsman at work, an evening show with whirling dervishes, shared meals and an opportunity to see Cappadocia from the air in a hot air balloon (extra cost)
Come and join us for the trip of a lifetime!
Who is the course for?
This course is for experienced singers who are looking for a different kind of singing holiday, exploring a rich mix of repertoire in a convivial social setting. Music will be sent out in advance and, while nobody is expected to be note perfect on arrival, we do expect singers to familiarise themselves with the music beforehand. This is not a course for beginners but anyone who has been singing regularly in a choral society or church choir is unlikely to feel out of their depth.
Our singing holidays have proved equally popular with people travelling on their own and singing couples. We all eat together most evenings in a selection of different restaurants where everyone will soon get to know each other.

Getting there
This bit is up to you and is not included in the price of the week. There there are no direct flights from London so the most comfortable way to get to Cappadocia is to fly to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines and transfer to a short internal flight to Kayseri (Caesarea) where we will be picked up at 8.00 pm and transferred to our hotel. With no change of airlines, you will only need to check in once and your bags will be taken care of. There are also flights from budget carrier Pegasus via Istanbul's other airport.
What does it cost?
The course fee is payable in two stages - a deposit of £295 and a further payment of £1495 no later than eight weeks before the course commences . This covers tuition, seven nights accommodation in a boutique hotel with breakfast (based on two sharing) all outings including the Whirling Dervishes show and four 3-course evening meals. The single occupancy supplement is £40 per night. Music - which can be kept - will cost £35 and is sent out six-eight weeks in advance.
Holiday insurance
All singers are required to take out appropriate holiday insurance and supply their policy details to us before the course begins. You should also bring a GHIC card or an EHIC card with you - if yours is still valid.
